The new operating system Microsoft is working on is Windows XP (http://www.microsoft.com/HWDEV/Whistler/default.htm) but there is a humorous splash screen out there, which was created by Rob Woolley (http://www.geocities.com/rcwoolley/) which proports to be the new operating system, taking parts of Windows CE, Windows ME, and Windows NT to form CE ME NT, or Cement, which is hard as a rock, and dumb as a brick.
While we are talking about humorous web sites, have you heard the one about the ID ten T error?
Here is the story, as related on http://www.justsaywow.com/idtent.htm
For all of those BRIGHT computer users in your neck of the woods..... I'd like to share a little anecdote that happened in the office the other day.
Young Joanne, the editor of a small news publication, was having trouble with her computer. So she called Tim, the computer guy, over to her desk. Tim clicked a couple buttons and instantly solved the problem.
As he was walking away, Joanne called after him, "So, what was wrong?" And he replied, "It was an ID ten T error." A puzzled expression came over Joanne's face. "An ID ten T error? What's that ... in case I need to fix it again??" He gave her a grin... ;-) ... "Haven't you ever heard of an ID ten T error before?" "No," replied Joanne. "Write it down," he said, "and I think you'll figure it out." Still puzzled, Joanne wrote "ID ten T Error" on a note paper:
