Where Was Everyone?

From the April 2001 issue of the I/O Port Newsletter

At the March 10 Super Saturday meeting we had one (count em' 1) person show up for the morning Question and Answer session, and only four at the afternoon Internet Sig meeting.

The following Wednesday March 14, we had two people show up for the morining Daytimers Q&A meeting, and only 1 showed up for the afternoon Learning the Internet meeting (and she only stayed 15 minutes because she did not have that many questions herself, and planned to learn from the questions raised by others).

It takes a lot of effort to bring the equipment in, set it up, and then tear it down and lug it back to the car, and it is difficult to justify doing this for such small turnouts. We will hold these meetings in April (April 11 for the Wednesday meetings, April 14 for the Super Saturday meetings), but if the turnout is the same for those meetings we may have to cancel the meetings.

It would be less work to just have a few people stop by my house, and us my 19" monitor, and fast cable modem.
