We provided one computer plus monitor to Pythian West
At Risk Schoools
We had over 30 of our Child16 image (educational programs for children in grades 1 through 6, so I
called Tulsa Public Schools and asked which of their schools had the largest number of low
income families, that would be unlikely to have a computer at home, and they told me that
Sam Houston was their most "At Risk" school, so I talked to Tracy Love, Guidance Councelor
at Sam Houston, about our donating some machines to them if they could come up with a way of
distributing them to the children. She said they selected a "Student of the Month" and I asked
if they would like to give a computer to the Student of the Month. She thought it was a very
good idea. I asked her to also let a couple of other schools in low income areas know about
the offer, and she did. Initially we are providing about 10 machines to each school, but as
my volunteers prepare more, we will also make them available, either to these schools, or
to other schools in the Tulsa Public School District.
