From the April 1999 issue of the I/O Port Newsletter
We had 9 people come out for a demonstration of Band-in-a-Box version 8. This newest release of the popular auto-accompaniment software package has over 80 new features, including Automatic Soloing and Automatic Song Maker. Everyone was very much impressed with this program, and we had fun creating various songs from scratch.
Be sure to read the review of Band-in-a-Box in this issue of the I/O Port.
The March meeting is going to be on creating and presenting your own multimedia presentation using PowerPoint 97, and will be presented by Vicky Anderson, who does this sort of thing for a living. The April meeting will be on PowerTracks Pro version 5, a MIDI Sequencing and Digital Recording package for only $29. At the May meeting we will take a look at various high-end Notation Software packages. Come on out and join the fun at the Harmon Foundation, 2901 S. Harvard, on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM.
