General Meeting

The June 29 General Meeting saw a great presentation by Randy Whittle (rwhittle@usa.net) from MGI (http://www.mgisoft.com/) on Photosuite II and VideoWave II. Members were allowed to purchase either product at a very nice discount, and when people bought both products, they knocked off an additional $10 and threw in a CD with images that could be used with the products. There was enough interest in learning more about Photosuite II that Paula Sanders will be presenting a Special Projects meeting on how to use the product at the August 2 meeting (first Monday in August). We are still trying to determine whether there is enough interest to justify a September 6 Special Projects meeting on Video Wave II. If you are interested, and particularly if you have a computer with a video capture card we could use please let Don Singleton know (djs@ionet.net).

On July 27 we will have a presentation from Adobe covering Acrobat 4 (see last month's I/O Port, and GoLive (see the review in this month's issue). On August 31 Microsoft will be here with a program Choosing the Best Operating System: Windows 98 Second Edition or Windows 2000 Currently we have not confirmed a speaker for September 28 but on October 26 Microsoft will be back with Products for Christmas
