Computer Basics Will Not Resume

Ruby McKee has notified me that Computer Basics will not resume in September, as originally planned. Since Keplinger Hall will be closed for Labor Day, the Getting Started with Communications and the Internet meeting originall scheduled for September 1 will be held in room M1 on September 8 instead.

We are not certain what we are going to do after September. We may move the OS/2 - Java group from the Helmerich Library so they can use the phone line we have in M1 to test some Java code on the Internet, but that will be finalized after the August 21 meeting for that group. Listen closely to the voice announcements on September 7 to see whether Java will be in M1 on September 8, or whether it will stay at Helmerich for September 18.
