We have learned that even though TU just starts the Fall semester on August 25, they will be taking Labor Day, Sept 1 off, and Keplinger Hall will be closed on that day, so the Communication and the Internet meeting originally scheduled for Monday, September 1 has been cancelled, and it will be held on Monday, October 6 instead.

Here is a summary of upcoming Getting Started Programs:

HardwareWed, Oct 1
WindowsWed, Aug 20 & Nov 5
Communications & InternetMon, Oct 6
ReviewWed, Sep 17
Word ProcessingWed, Oct 15
Spreadsheets & DatabasesWed, Nov 19
GraphicsWed, Sep 3
Beginning August 25 all meetings formerly held in U2 during the summer, and in U9 last spring, will be held in M8. This means the Visual Basic meeting on first Tuesday, Getting Started meetings on first and third Wednesday, Word Processing and DTP on second Wednesday, and Quicken which will resume on last Wednesdays beginning in September.

As announced last month, the Linux Sig is now meeting at 5350 E 46th Street, and as announced elsewhere in this issue, the NT/Back Office Sig is changing its normal meeting place to the Tulsa Community College offices on Skelly, however members are urged to check the web pages just prior to a meeting to confirm the location of the meeting, because they plan to hold a number of their meetings at various members' offices, to take a look at the how they use NT and Back Office Products.
