The Tulsa City-County Library provides access to seventy online databases to the residents of Tulsa County. Library cardholders can use these databases by visiting eLibrary at www.tulsalibrary.org. One of those databases, NoveList (www.tulsalibrary.org/readers/), is a tool that helps readers of all ages find books they want to read.

This database contains over 100,000 fiction titles and searches can be limited to the appropriate age level (picture books, children's, young adult, adult). Fifty-six thousand of those titles contain reviews, annotations or summaries. The reader who has read all of John Grisham's books and wants to find similar titles can use this tool to get a listing of other books to try. Readers can create their own personal lists as they explore and can even e-mail the lists to themselves or to others.

In addition, readers can browse over 1,200 theme related book lists, find award-winning books, and link to 1,800 fiction related Web sites. NoveList also contains many timely articles about books, from musings about the success of Harry Potter to the "World of Islam in Fiction."

NoveList is a valuable tool for parents, teachers and librarians. Many titles include lexile ratings, which help adults find books that are at an appropriate reading level for children. NoveList is also just downright fun for people who love books!

Use NoveList at the library, at home or at the office. A valid library card is the key that unlocks this magical resource. You can locate NoveList directly at www.tulsalibrary.org/readers/. For more information about NoveList and additional eLibrary services and resources call 596.7977.
