TCS - Sig Pages

Sig Pages

From the December 1999 issue of the I/O Port Newsletter

Each of our Special Interest Groups (SIGs) has a separate web page with information on when and where they meet, plus a map that shows how to get there. To see these pages, go to http://www.tcs.org/meetings.htm.

We also have a calendar for each month (beginning with Oct 1998), which shows which meetings occur on which date, and those entries also link to the web pages of each meeting.

These pages are very basic, but if any of the SIG leaders would like to enhance their page, they are welcome to do so, and email the modified page to djs@ionet.net and I will update the web site.

You may want to add email addresses of sig leaders (if I don't already have them) and possibly even others in the sig that can advise potential members what goes on at meetings, you may want to add a description of the purpose of the SIG, and possibly even provide a list of subjects planned for future meetings. If you have a few links that would be appropriate for your sig, this would be a good place to include them (and if you have a lot of links, we can add them to the matrix of links at http://www.tcs.org/webpage.htm, and link your SIGs webpage to that list of links.

If you want to change your Sig Web Page very frequently, you may want to post it on your ISP's server (most ISPs provide space for their customers to put up free web pages), and in this case just email me the URL for the web page.
