TCS - General Meeting

General Meeting

From the December 1999 issue of the I/O Port Newsletter

At the October 26 General Meeting we only had 25 members show up for a program that I thought would have been of interest to almost all of our members. Allen Childers from Microsoft gave a very interesting program on some of the new Microsoft Consumer Products which would make very good Christmas Presents. We saw the new version of Microsoft Works Suite 2000, Encarta Reference Suite 2000, the new IntelliMouse and Internet Keyboards, and many other such products.

It gets very hard for us to persuade vendors to fly in to give a presentation to such a small audience. Do people want us to discontinue trying to get vendors to give presentations at the General Meeting, or will you make a better effort to make at least that one meeting every month, even if you can't make it to other meetings.

Dolly Allison is giving a presentation on Video Professor, a training CD for new computer users, at the November 30 General Meeting.
