Midi Music and Multimedia SIG

We had 11 people at the October meeting, which is a pretty good turnout. This meeting was just a Swap Meet for trading MIDI songs and programs, and there were lots of disks being traded. But the real fun was having Glenn Hogg bring his MIDI keyboard out and play several songs for us. His keyboard has a floppy drive in it, so he was able to load any song and play it for us, while adding his own style and flair to the song. He even brought along a microphone so we could take turns singing along with the music while the words to the song were highlighted on the LCD panel on the keyboard. It was a lot of fun.

The November meeting will be for you beginners that want to learn how to get started with MIDI music on your computer. The December meeting will be a review and tutorial on how to use a sequencer program (such as PowerTracks Pro) to make music. Come join the fun at the Harmon Foundation, 2901 S. Harvard, on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM.
