Alien Skin has produced a sequel to The Black Box version 2 filters. These are to be used only with Adobe Photoshop under windows 95, NT and on PowerPC processors. Eye Candy version 3 improves and replaces some of the filters found in Black Box as well as introduces new ones. The filters contained in this new version are: Drop Shadow, Inner Bevel, Outer Bevel, Glow, Glass, Swirl, HSB Noise, Carve, Cutout, Motion Trail, Fire, Smoke, Fur, Chrome, Perspective Shadow, Star, Antimatter, Squint, Jiggle, Weave, and Water Drops.

Almost all of the filters have many parameters; thus, in actuality, increasing the number of possibilities tremendously. I have used the Black Box filters for at least a year now and have found them excellent and easy to use. I found the same to hold true for this new set of filters. As stated in the literature released by Alien Skin, the ability to manipulate the filters has been increased as well as have the parameters..

I tested them on a Pentium 100 unders windows 95. I highly recommend them. They are available for $199 or a low upgrade price for registered users of The Black Box version 2 of $49.00. Alien Skin can be contacted at: 919 832-4124. Their web site can be found at: www.alienskin.com.

The following pictures show some of the filters and their effects.
