From the February 2000 issue of the I/O Port Newsletter
Six brave souls managed the bad weather and threat of
Y2K aftershocks to attend the inaugural meeting of the
Tulsa Java Users Group on January 3rd. Those in
attendance included several developers from C2
Technologies who shared their experiences with Java.
Topics of discussion ranged from running Java on the
Palm OS to Java network agents to threading.
Interest was shown in discussing Jini, Sun's
plug-n-play technology for networks, Java development
environments and databases in future meetings which
will be held on the first Monday of each month at 7:30
p.m. in room M1 of Keplinger Hall, 5th and Harvard. Don has
offered the use of TCS's projector in our next meeting
and a system will be setup for demonstrations, so
bring your programs. All are welcome to attend!
