On January 29 we will cover Meta Tags and Web Site Promotion, which also relates to web pages, but in this case it relates to registering them with search engines, and other ways of publicizing them.
On February 10 Richard Hall will present a program on Secure Connections (SSL). It will also cover PGP software. PGP stands for Pretty Good Privacy. SSL relates to encrypting the entire transmission between the server and the browser, PGP relates to encrypting files so you need a password to read them.
Cool Web Sites was a regular feature in the printed I/O Port, but for some reason when we had to discontinue the printed version I dropped it from the Only On The Web I/O Port (I really don't know why I dropped it). But at the request of the membership, I reactivated it in the February issue of the I/O Port, and have scheduled it for the February 26 Internet Sig Meeting.
On February 27 at the General Meeting we will have a program by Mike Henson on NetMeeting.
Please let me know what other programs you would like to see at the Internet meetings so we can start looking for links for them, and get them in the schedule.
