The Tulsa City-County Library website has a new look as of the end of January 2002. A team of TCCL staff members worked with Source Publications, Inc., a local company, to update the look of the library's website, eLibrary, which is available at www.tulsalibrary.org.

Through the online library catalog you can locate items held throughout the system and place reserves on those materials, when applicable. The library offers many special collections to the citizens of Tulsa County and those with a strong online presence include the African-American Resource Center at the Rudisill Regional Library and the American Indian Resource Center, a virtual collection of resources.

Additional online services include access to your library record to view what items you have checked out, when they're due and the ability to renew eligible items; materials on which you've placed a reserve; and any outstanding fines owed, the amount and the reason for the fine.

Library location information is available under the heading 'About the Library.' Here you can find the address, telephone number, hours of service and a directional map for each library in the system.

Also available online is information on how to become a library volunteer, the Library Commission meeting agenda, and the monthly Event Guide which provides a list of programs and events hosted, sponsored and presented by the library.

Over 70 subscription databases and directories are available to customers with a valid library card through 'Research Tools.' Resources include 'Kiplinger's Business Forecasts,' providing weekly business & economic forecasts for the U.S. and abroad; 'Grove Dictionary of Music Online,' a guide to information on the full spectrum of music from Clapton to Wagner; and 'MasterFILE Premier,' a general magazine source with full text access to almost 2,000 periodicals, including Consumer Reports.

Visit eLibrary at www.tulsalibrary.org and check out our online services and our new look! For more information about online library services and resources call 596.7977.
