The Tulsa City-County Library (TCCL) subscribes to a number of online databases available to library customers via the World Wide Web. You must be in a Tulsa City-County Library to use the following databases-they are not available from your home or office Internet connection.

Britannica Online provides access to encyclopedia articles, a dictionary, and illustrations such as maps, tables, flags and photographs, biographies and thousands of related Internet links. New articles, revisions and related Internet sites continue to be added on a daily basis. Britannica also contains features such as "Week in Review" which provides insights into current world events and other topical subjects.

CQ Researcher is a weekly publication covering the most current and controversial issues of the day with complete summaries, insight into all sides of the issues, bibliographies and more. Users may read the current article, browse through articles from the past six months or search for past articles back to November 1991.

Electric Library allows users to limit searches by source type, publication, date, title, and author. Source types include magazines and journals, newspapers and newswires, TV and radio transcripts, books, reports and reference collections, photographs and images, and maps of the world.

With this full text database you can send a text or image document to an e-mail address via the E-mail Document feature.

NoveList is an online reader advisory tool for fiction for adults, young adults and children. Use this database to find new books based on those you've previously read, or by the fiction types of romance, science fiction, westerns, mysteries and thrillers, fantasy, adventure and horror. The lists of award winning books include Nobel Prize for Literature, Mythopoeic Award, National Book Award, Booker Award, Edgar Award and Pulitzer Prize for Fiction.

These databases and more are available to all library customers at all TCCL locations. For more information about the library system visit our Web site at .
