Lost in a Helicopter

It was early in the morning when an Apache helicopter was on its way back from a training mission near Phoenix. The pilot, a veteran, had been demonstrating how the controls worked to his co-pilot. Now, on the way back, he became slightly confused and lost his sense of direction (having been assigned to a new base just recently).

Hovering briefly beside the roof of a large corporate building, he spied a fat, geeky looking man strolling casually back and forth. Using a loudspeaker, he shouted to the geek: "Sir, where am I?" "In a helicopter!" the geek replied, cupping his hands over his mouth. "Right. Thanks!" the pilot shot back.

Then, he managed to guide the helicopter back to base. His co-pilot, somewhat bewildered, asked: "Bob, how did you manage to find the way back?" "Well, you see, I asked that man a question and when he replied, his answer was perfectly valid but entirely useless. So I knew he was a Microsoft technician. And since I knew the way back from their corporate hq..."
