Internet Sig Report

by Don Singleton
Tulsa Computer Society
From the October 1997 issue of the I/O Port Newsletter

We covered Sending Email via the Internet at the August 25 meeting. For some reason my computer began reporting problems with the registry, so it became somewhat awkward to switch between programs, because we kept having to clear the registry problem notice. The strange thing is that when I got together with Bruce a few days later to try to fix the problem it had gone away. Don't you just love Windows 95? And with all of the problems people are having with Office 97, how many plan to jump immediately on Windows 98 when it comes out next year?

Upcoming Internet Meetings are:

September 20Interesting New Web Sites
September 29Financial Information on the Internet
October 11Comparing Netscape and Internet Explorer
October 27Building a Web Page
If you have program ideas you would like to suggest for future Internet Sig meetings, please send them to me by email at djs@ionet.net. I would like to go ahead and plan out the rest of the year.
