Microsoft Works Computer Classes

by Don Singleton

From the January 2000 issue of the I/O Port Newsletter

The Tuesday 12 week series of classes in Microsoft Works has ended and the turnout was great. Most of the students say they have learned a lot and wish we could do more classes.

I want to thank Don Singleton for loaning me his laptop computer to use and thanks to Bruce Carson for supporting and assisting in many of these sessions. I also want to thank R and M Computers of Owasso for donating a computer and roller stand to use in these classes. (Now Don gets his laptop back.) Thanks also to all who helped put away chairs and to Joe who faithfully brought a projection screen to several sessions.

Due to the large turnout for these classes I am looking for a larger place with chairs for at least 50 people, a large projection screen and lots of parking spaces. If we can find a place we will try to start another series after the first of the year. If you know of a place we could have another series of classes or if you are interested in the classes to learn the Computer "language", Windows and Works please call or send me an e-mail with your name and phone number and I will be glad to talk with you.
