One very useful resource available through FirstSearch is WorldCat.

WorldCat contains more than 35 million records describing items owned by libraries around the world. You can submit an Interlibrary Loan (ILL) request for items (example: books or articles) described in records found through the WorldCat database directly to the Tulsa City-County Library ILL Department. Any materials (example: books, videos, CD's) published or released in the current year may not be requested through ILL. You can request copies of articles from current magazines and journals.

Any TCCL customer with a valid library card may use the ILL Service to request any material not owned by TCCL. Records in WorldCat include books, manuscripts, maps, musical scores, newspapers, journals and magazines.

A Get/Display Item button appears in the full record when you can order an item. Choose the Method to get item of Interlibrary Loan. There is no charge for borrowing materials through Interlibrary Loan. Photocopy request charges will be 10 cents per page. The fields in the ILL form which you must fill in are: your full name, full street address, telephone number, your library ID (library card number), and department or branch indicating to which TCCL branch you'd like the materials sent. The comments field is a good place to send any notes or instructions to TCCL's ILL department.

For more information about ILL service at TCCL contact the department directly at 918-596-7963.
