TCS - New ISP

New ISP

GeoTec is a new ISP in town (this month is the first they have advertised with us). And they are offering a very special arrangement for TCS members who will sign up with them. They offer five email addresses (for different family members, or so you can separate your personal email from your business email, etc), and one of the five email addresses can use the tcs.org domain name, rather than the geotec.net domain name. So I could be singleton@tcs.org if I wanted to.

Here is what they wrote me:

Your member signs up with us, for the 10.99 a month, no setup fee account, and if they ask for it, they will get 1 e-mail per member for the domain tcs.org and the rest via the geotec.net domain (unless the whole famly is a memeber). here is a run-down of the services they get:

5 e-mails
10 megs of webspace
24HR local tech support
no setup fee
don't need a credit card
don't need to pay up front
can bill month to month
UL Internet Access
56K Async Dial Up
All for 10.99 a month

We have not yet worked out how we will handle the domain names, so the tcs.org email may not be available immediately, but if our members indicate they want this service, we will work it out with Jonathan Down from GeoTEC Internet.

There are a number of very good Internet Service Providers in Tulsa, including Internet Commection, Rapid Fire, Web Zone, Telepath, ioNet, Galstar, etc and we certainly hope you will consider them, along with GeoTec when you are looking for an Internet Service Provider (their advertising revenue enables us to print as large an issue of the I/O Port as we do), but with all of these very good companies to choose from I can't see why anyone would use any other ISP.
