Attendance has dropped off considerably as Summer approaches, so we have decided to shut down Internet meetings (both the 2nd Saturday and Last Monday meetings) in June, July, and August. Both meetings will start again in September, and TCS will continue to hold General Meetings, as well as a few other sig meetings, throughout the summer. If you need help with the Internet during the summer, and want to come to my house so I can help you, call me at 622-3417, and if you come up with ideas for programs email or call me so I can have good ones scheduled for September.
I hated to have to shut the meetings down, but I was only having three or four people show up at most meetings, and the effort prepare a special program, drive to TU, haul all of the equipment in, set it up, and try to conduct a program with that dial up phone line in room M1, then when it was over tear it down, lug it back to the car, and drive home, was just too much for an audience of three or four (even with the help I got setting up and tearing down the equipment, and lugging it out to my car, which I do appreciate). It is much easier for me invite a few people over to my house, and show something on my 19" monitor, using my Cable Modem connection to the internet, so I am serious about the offer to have people come by my house, either one at a time, or two or three at once.
