MapPoint and Trial Version of XP

The publicity for the Microsoft eXtreme Event said we would all get free copies of the MS MapPoint 2002 program (not just a 45 day trial, but the full product), and the Pre-Release copy of Windows XP but they were not in the bags we received. The Microsoft Rep for the event, Cathy Williams, reports that when she got home she received an email which she should have received before the show, telling her to emphasise to attendees that if they wanted the pre-release copy of Windows XP Professional that they had to check a box on the back of the event evaluation questionaire, and that if the wanted the free copy of MapPoint to write in a request in that area of the questionaire.

Unfortunately she did not see that email until she got home, so she could not tell us to do that. She takes responsibility for the error and will contact the appropriate people to mail copies to everyone in Tulsa who completed the evaluation form. So if you filled out the form, and either wrote your name and address on the front, or had one of the preprinted orange tickets, and attached the proper sticker with that info on it to the eval form, you should get it in the mail. I have no idea how long that will take.
