- Discussion of a new place to meet. Possibilities:
- Continue to meet at TU
- CompUSA
- a library branch.
- Discussion of upgrading of the TCS Demo computer with a new CD RW drive, a USB card for more
peripherals, a reinstall of Windows XP because the system was getting slow. Discussion of a
failed attempt to install a disk imaging program (because there was not place to save the image)
and a failed attempt to install a partitioning tool (because the program was not compatible with
Windows XP). Had to settle for a new Windows System Restore point instead. Discussed how to set a
new System Restore point. Don Greer testified that the program had saved his computer and
reputation a couple of times. Richard said that he had had problems with System Restore because
of an anti-virus program conflict.
- Discussion of disk and file wipe programs. Norton Utilities used to have more options than it
does now. Other shareware programs discussed:
