Tulsa Computer Society
From the July 2004 issue of the I/O Port Newsletter
In June we distributed 16 computers:
- We provided 1 computer and monitor, plus a printer to the
Oakhurst Volunteer Fire Department
- We provided 1 computer, monitor, and printer to a senior citizen bridge group at
Henthorne Park
- We provided 9 additional computers to the Superior Pawnee Computer Society,
a recently formed computer refurbishing project like HelpingTulsa, that is working in
Superior, Nebraska. The systems included three more
Image Machines,
so they could set up satelite computer refurbishing efforts in other cities,
such as Kearney, and
Hastings,
two computers with the Bible Image,
two computers with the Senior Image,
and two computers with the Children Image.
- We provided 3 computers to Connie Joe's Day Care in Drumright, OK
- We provided 1 computer to Bob Armstrong, Disabled American Vet
- We provided 1 server to a Network class at
Central Tech in Sapulpa so that students
learning how to work on serverss will actually have one to work on.
