From the July, 2007 issue of the I/O Port Newsletter
Mike Sheehan demoed the free, new Mandriva Linux distribution - Spring, 2007.
There was not a wired library Internet connection that worked and Mike and
Richard could not get a wireless USB antenna to work because of the lack of
Linux drivers for the hardware. Nevertheless, Mike went through an HTML
installation guide with the members. Mike demoed the KDE desktop programs that
were loaded from the installation DVD. He went thought the list of HP hardware
that was found by the distribution and found everything but the wireless
hardware. At the end of the demo, Mike gave the members a copy of the Mandriva
installation DVD.
