Successful April Events

From the June 2000 issue of the I/O Port Newsletter

In April we had a very successful two day show at the Computer and Technology Showcase in the Tulsa Convention Center, followed two days later with an equally successful Microsoft eXtreme Event at the Cinemark Movies 8 - Tulsa (6808 S. Memorial, #310). We regret that some people had trouble finding the theater; there are several in that area, and we have recommended to Microsoft that in the future they might want to include a link to one of the online Map pages showing where the theater is.

I want to thank Dolly Allison, Richard Hall, and Robert Dieter for presenting seminars at the Computer and Technology Showcase, and Bruce Carson, Dolly and Howard Allison, Floyanne Radzinski, Docia and Paul McCloud, and all of the others that assisted in the booth.

I also want to thank Dolly and Howard Allison, Floyanne Radzinski, Docia and Paul McCloud, Paula and Don Sanders, Linda Stoesser, Hurley Kyte, Pat Crowley, Al Nichols, Doug Stahl, Sally Murray, and all of the others that assisted at the Microsoft eXtreme event.

I apologize for any that I missed, but I was busy doing a lot of the seminars at the Computer and Technology Showcase (we need to get more people to volunteer to do seminars at future events) and did not get a list of booth attendees, and while we wrote down a list of the Microsoft eXtreme volunteers, it got thrown away when we were clearing away the registration materials while the show was going on.

Docia took pictures at both events. We didn't have room to run them all in the paper, but they are on the here. Click on the thumbnails to see a picture full size.
