John Beams reminded us of some useful Windows 95 shortcuts: using the Windows+M to bring up the desktop and Windows+E to bring up Explorer.
We worked with a database that Don Singleton is developing for APCUG. We exported tables from one database to another, and demonstrated how to export just the table structure, the structure and the data, and the import/export specifications. We also used the query builder to revise the SQL statement behind a combo box in a form. We changed the statement to get the input data from a different table, and to sort it. We added additional fields to the form and practiced different methods of selecting multiple fields. Then we used the formatting menu to position, size and align multiple fields.
We have room for additional attendees at our meeting. Everyone, whether new to using M/S Access or an experienced developer, seems to learn something each time.
