At the March 28 General Meeting we will elect officers for April 2000 - March 2001. The following members have expressed a willingness to run. If you would like to run as well, we will take nominations from the floor at both the February 29 and March 28 meetings:

PresidentDon Singleton
Vice PresidentDolly Allison
Membership SecretaryBruce Carson
Recording SecretaryDocia McCloud
TreasurerHurley Kyte
EditorDon Singleton
SysopKen Snitz

Note that the Bylaws call for us to elect a BBS Officer. We have discontinued our BBS because it was getting at most one call a day, and it seems reasonable to remove the requirement to elect a BBS Officer, but the earliest we could change the bylaws to remove that requirement is the March 28 meeting, at which time we are required to elect one, so at that meeting we would like to submit a Bylaw Change, and if it is passed, we will drop Ken from the slate of 2000/2001 officers, but if it is not passed, we will elect him, even though he will not have anything to do. While we are making a bylaw change anyway, there is one other change I would propose, and that is that we remove from the bylaws the requirement that the General Meeting must be on the Last Tuesday of the month, and let the elected officers select the date, so that if there is a good reason to do so, that we can move the date of the General Meeting.

Proposed Bylaws Changes (current Bylaws are at http://www.tcs.org/bylaws.htm)

(1) Delete the requirement in ARTICLE IV, Section 10 that the General Meeting be held on the Last Tuesday of each month, and instead let Section 10 read: "Section 10. General Meetings. All general meetings of the membership shall be held at a time and place authorized by a resolution of the Board of Trustees."

(2) Delete ARTICLE XIV which calls for the election of a Bulletin Board Officer and the reference to that position in XXIII, section 7
