TCS - General Meeting

General Meeting

The General Meeting on January 25 covered Internet Tips and Tricks. On February 29 we will have a guest speaker from Microsoft covering "Managing your Personal Finances - Money 2000 and Microsoft Taxsaver". On March 28 Richard Hall will repeat hsi very interesting program on Virus Protection. On April 25 the Microsoft rep will be back to talk about "Living the Web Lifestyle - Covering how to design and build a family web page, new technologies for the web, streaming media, etc."

At recent meetings we have had a very disappointing turnout at General Meetings. Please, at least on meetings where we have a guest speaker, such as the February 29 and April 25 meetings, make it a point to come, and bring friends. We are very grateful to Microsoft for being willing to come back, when we only had 25 people attending his October 26 program, and the subject matter of that program was something that I believe almost all TCS members would have been interested in. If we can start getting turnouts in the 75 to 100 range, I can attract other vendors to come give us presentations, but it is very hard to justify flying all the way to Tulsa, paying for a hotel overnight, paying for a rent car, etc, if only 20 to 25 people show up for the meeting.
