Snow Cancellations

From the March 2000 issue of the I/O Port Newsletter

The program I was scheduled to present on Buying a New Computer for the Broken Arrow Library, the first meeting of Dolly's Beginning Windows evening program on the 4th Thursday of each month 7:00 p.m., Schusterman Benson Library, 3333 E 32nd Place, and the January 29 Refurbishing Computers meetings were all cancelled because of the snow.

The Broken Arrow library said they would reschedule my presentation, but I don't know yet when. If you want to see the Web Page I constructed for the program it is at http://www.tcs.org/newcomputer.htm.

Dolly emailed all of the students she had email addresses for announcing the cancellation of her meeting (everyone had also been told in advance that her groups would not meet if the Tulsa Public Schools were closed, and they were closed on Thursday (and Friday).

I posted a notice of the cancellation of the Refurbishing Computers meeting on the TCS web page, and want to invite Sig Leaders that if you see your Sigs must cancel a meeting because of the weather, let me know as much in advance as possible, and I would be happy to post a similar notice for your meeting's cancellation. And if the weather looks threatening you might want to check our web site before coming to a meeting to see if a cancellation notice has been posted.
