General Meeting

Richard Hall presented a very interesting program on Viruses at the March 28 General Meeting. It was a longer version of a program that he presented the next week at the Computer and Technology Showcase. Some have asked for copies of the powerpoint slide show he used. That powerpoint slide show, together with some other links related to Viruses, is at http://www.tcs.org/cts2000.htm

In addition to Richard's program, we held election of officers at the March 28 meeting, and the following officers were elected:

President - Don Singleton, Vice President - Richard Hall, Membership Secretary - Bruce Carson, Recording Secretary - Docia McCloud. Treasurer - Hurley Kyte, and Editor - Don Singleton.

Also two proposed bylaw changes were adopted, one permitting the Board of Trustees to determine when General Meetings would be held, rather than having it fixed as the Last Tuesday of the Month, and one removing the requirement to elect a Bulletin Board Officer (since we no longer operate a BBS).

April 25 we will have a program on Computer Crime, by Jon Huntington from the OSBI

May 30 we will have a presentation from Microsoft called Living the Web Lifestyle - Covering how to design and build a family web page, new technologies for the web, streaming media, etc.
