Programming HTML, Intermediate, is the second of a series of three training CDs
from ViaGrafix on Programming in HTML 3.2. It covers explaining HTML, opening
an HTML document, changing the background and font color, using the background
attributes, discussing image types and optimizing image size, background
images, audio file formats, adding sound to a web page, creating a list,
creating an unordered list, discussing arguments for unordered lists, explaining
arguments for ordered lists, changing the list bullets, creating a link,
defining and linking to an anchor, adding an image for a link, aligning an
image, discussing image attributes, creating an image link, linking to an
internet address, creating a mailto link, and uploading and viewing a
document.
Programming HTML, Advanced, is the third of the series. It covers tables,
BG color and cell attributes, borders, captions, aligning table rows, use of
the title heading tag, the column span attribute, the difference between TH
and TD attributes, customizing a table, defining GET and POST, discussing CGI
(common gateway interface), using the select and input tags, types of input
boxes, discussing frames and using the frameset tag, marginheight, the
noframes tag, and image maps.
I would highly recommend these CDs to anyone who wants to build a web page,
by directly coding the HTML tags themselves (as opposed to using a graphic
based WYSIWYG tool. Coding HTML directly gives you the most control, and
is most likely to yield a web page that works on a variety of browsers.
