Access Report

At the Access meeting on September 1 we built a Sunday School Class accounting system, with report covering data from multiple queries, including class size, class attendance, and contributions. We took a look at Active Server Pages, attempting to see how a database could be updated from the internet, but no one at the meeting had ever done it, so we dropped the subject. We then discussed problems using the datediff function to compute how old a person was (when year values are requested it just is the difference in the year fields of the two dates), but then came up with the idea of asking for the datediff in days, dividing by 365.25, and then taking the integer portion of that quotient. While not completely accurate, it works most of the time.
