First you need to set a switch on the new hard drive for a second drive. (Possibly set a switch on the old drive for master with a slave) When you turn the computer on usually you can see a prompt to go to cmos setup. (Usually "Del") In the hard drive section try to set up drive D: as "Auto", otherwise you have to add the paramaters for this new drive.
If your new drive is used, you need to fdisk and then format. Used disks may have hidden files that are not removed with format only. With Windows 95 working, go to "My Computer" and check if drive D: is there.
In the Start-Programs menu click on DOS. (Don't get OUT of Windows to go to DOS.) At the DOS root directory, C:\.... Type xcopy32 c: d: /e/c/h .... After all files are copied, at the C:\ prompt, type... SYS d:...
Change the switch on the new drive to master and unplug the old drive and hook it to the new one. change the cmos setup for drive C: and boot. Operation should be the same as before but with more hard drive space.
