TCS - Programming HTML - Introduction
Programming HTML
Introduction
by Don Singleton
Tulsa Computer Society
From the October 1998 issue of the I/O Port Newsletter
Programming HTML, Introduction, is the first of a series of three training CDs
from ViaGrafix on Programming in HTML 3.2. Chapter 1 - Fundamentals of HTML,
describes the basic structure of HTML, and discusses browsers and HTML editors.
Chapter 2 - Building Our first Web Page, covers various HTML tags, including
HTML, HEAD, TITLE, BODY, etc, and how most tags have an opening and closing
component. After completing chapter 2, one has actually built a simple web page.
Chapter 3, Adding and Formatting Text, covers various formatting tags, variations
on the FONT tag, etc. Chapter 4 covers Formatting Documents, including carriage
returns (
tag), paragraphs ( tag), headings, text alignment, horizontal
rules, blockquote tag, address tag, and marqueees.
This CD is a good review of the information we covered at the August 15
Internet Sig meeting, and just glancing at the next two CDs in this series
(which will be covered in future issues) I would highly recommend these CDs
to anyone who wants to build a web page.
