The first question was about CompuServe WinCim version 2.0 (an older version, but the one this member was using), and how one could get to the Internet from CompuServe, and I showed the most obvious way (clicking on the Internet Box on the initial screen), how to click on the globe, once the initial screen of option boxes is gone, and how both of those choices bring up the default Mosaic browser for CompuServe. I also showed how if you have the WinSock box checked in Session Settings, you can Alt Tab to the Program Manager (for Win 3.1) or use the Start Button (in Win 95) to dispatch Netscape or Internet Explorer, either of which is better than CompuServe's Spry Mosaic.
We had a number of other very interesting questions, some taking us to Web Sites I had not seen before, but unfortunately I was interrupted while jotting down this sig report after I got home on Saturday, and when I got back to it on Tuesday, I could not remember the details of many of the questions. If you have any communication oriented questions, regardless of whether it is about CompuServe, America OnLine, local BBSs, or some aspect of Internet Access I invite you to come to our meeting on June 14.
