If you have not already checked it out, I invite you to take a look at the
HelpingTulsa website.
We don't have pictures on all of these yet, but in August we distributed 124 computers:
- We provided three machines to Baptist Village retirement homes in Owasso, and will be
providing machines to other Baptist Village retirement homes elsewhere in Oklahoma.
- We provided two machines to Baptist Children's home in Owasso
- We provided twelve machines to a Preschool for St. Stephen's United Methodist Church. See
this page for further information.
- We provided ten machines for Rev Kingsley Kanu's ministry in Nigeria. See
this page for further information.
- We provided ten machines and a laptop for
Oxford House and
Love4Life Unlimited, non-profit organizations dedicated
to assist recovering alcoholics and drug addicts in their making a successful re-entry in
society, making available quality housing, help with education, spiritual and moral guidance.
Oxford House is for recovering men, and Love4Life is for recovering women.
- We provided fifteen machines to First Baptist Church in Owasso.
- We provided fifteen machines to New Hope Assembly of God in Glenpool
- We provided six machines to Carbondale Assembly of God
- We provided twenty machines to a Mennonite church in Belize
- We provided twenty machines to a ministry in Kenya
- We provided ten machines to Bethesda Boys Ranch
- Lightning struck the computer in Mounds City Hall and Jim helped them fix it, providing several
replacements for parts that were damaged.
If you would like to volunteer to work on some of the donated computers, fixing them
up so we can donate them to various schools, churches, and non-profit agencies, give me
a call at 622-3417 or email me and we will come
up with a time convenient for you to come over.
