Matthew Watkins told us about Linux last night at the August TCS General
Meeting. We had about 17 members present at our first meeting at CompUSA. I
handed out copies of two bootable CDs that do not install Linux to the hard
disk, but run in memory. The programs were Slackware Live and Knoppix. Both
programs contain the Linux kernal and applications like a browser,
spreadsheet, word processor and slide show viewer. The next meeting will be
September 30 from 7:00 to 8:30 to allow us to finish before the store
closes. Attached are photos from the meeting.
