TCS - Special Issue

Special Issue

From the Special 2001 issue of the I/O Port Newsletter

When we published the I/O Port in Tabloid Newspaper Format, many of the stores we used as distribution points wanted us to have a date like the computer magazines they carried, i.e. the date that the issue was no longer current, and hence should have been replaced by a later issue.

That always confused me, but if that was their requirement, we had to live with it. Now that we no longer publish a printed copy, and it looks unlikely that we ever will do so again, I have decided to change the date to more accurately reflect when the issue comes out.

The problem with that is that the July issue has been out for almost a month now, and it will be another month before it will be time for the true August issue, so on a one time only basis, I am calling this the Special Issue, which will come between the July issue (which came out in early June) and August (which will come out the first week in August).

I hope you understand all of that. If so, perhaps you can explain it to me. <grin>
