A community service in memory of Kitty Estes, a sixth grade teacher at Steadley Elementary School who passed away after a long battle with breast cancer, was held Wednesday afternoon at the CHS auditorium.

County Commissioner makes payment proposal
The Jasper County Commission may be a bit closer to a solution regarding the pay raise repayment problem, as Commissioner Anna Ruth Crampton announced a proposal for repayment at this morning's County Commission meeting.
