Microsoft Security Warnings and Patches

informed us about two Microsoft Security Warnings and Patches.
This update
resolves the "XMLHTTP Control Can Allow Access to Local Files" security vulnerability in
Microsoft XML (MSXML) 2.6 and 3.0, and Windows XP, and is discussed in Microsoft Security
Bulletin MS02-008.
This update applies to computers that are running MSXML version 4.0., MSXML version 3.0, 3.0
SP1 or 3.0 SP2 installed, and MSXML version 2.6, 2.6 SP1 or 2.6 SP2 installed.
This update
resolves the "Incorrect VBScript Handling in Internet Explorer can Allow Web Pages to Read
Local Files" security vulnerability in Internet Explorer, and is discussed in Microsoft
Security Bulletin MS02-009.
This update applies to: Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Windows ME, Windows 98,
Windows NTŪ 4.0, Internet Explorer 6, Internet Explorer 5.5, and Internet Explorer 5.01
